About the Bridgewater Food Pantry
This service to the Bridgewater community is intended to provide supplemental assistance to Bridgewater residents in need. The quantity of food distributed is based on the number of people in each household and the availability of sufficient quantities of specific food items. Patrons are allowed to select their own groceries with assistance from pantry volunteers.
A large selection of non-perishable items is usually available, as well as selected perishable items based on availability. Proof of Bridgewater residency is required to participate in the program.
Donations
Monetary donations can be sent to the Central Square Congregational Church located at 71 Central Square, Bridgewater, MA 02324 with a notation that the donation is for the Food Pantry. We can always use gift cards to local supermarkets such as Stop & Shop, Market Basket, and Roche Brothers as well. Unless otherwise indicated, monetary donations are used to purchase food.
If you wish to help support the pantry with necessary expenses such as electricity for the refrigerators and freezers, heat in the winter, and cleaning, use the button at the top of the page and earmark your donation as "keep the food pantry running!", or indicate that on your check.
Non-perishable canned goods and other grocery items listed below are always welcome. Donations can be dropped off during church office hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., however it is always best to call the church office first to double check.
Bridgewater Food Pantry hours are Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as well as first Monday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please come to the side (Church Street) door at the top of the handicap ramp. Or, you may call 508-697-6016 to make other arrangements.
